A Stone’s Throw

I can see your house from wherever I stand

Cuts the horizon and makes my mind bend

Living there alone in your shattered dreams

Glass you walk across

Just so you can bleed

I told you not to hurt yourself

And I told you not to cry

I screamed away your doubts

But you told me it was a lie

Now I watch the flickering candlelight in your window

From my unmade bed

Over the rooftops that kept us safe

And break my life over all those things that were left unsaid…
